Candidate profile

Copy this file to profile.md and fill it in. profile.md is gitignored — it stays on your machine. The interviewer reads it at the start of every session (CLAUDE.md §0.1). Every field is optional; delete what you don’t need.

Who I am

  • Name (used on scorecards):
  • Current / most recent role:
  • Years of experience:

What I’m preparing for

  • Target level (see levels.md): IC track senior · staff · principal — manager track em · senior-em · director
  • Target companies, in priority order: e.g. Google, Meta
  • Next real loop, if scheduled: company · date
  • Default difficulty: gentle · standard · brutal
  • Default pace: realtime · typing-adjusted · relaxed

Target domains — what I’m interviewing for

e.g. fintech, ai. Used to filter “surprise me” (general · fintech · crypto · ai · social · commerce · media · search · mobility · saas · infra · data).

My home domain — probe me harder here

e.g. payments, ad tech, streaming video. Fluent vocabulary in your own domain hides weak reasoning; the interviewer raises the bar for the matching archetype and asks you to define your own jargon.

Confidentiality

Anything the interviewer must never write into a session file. e.g. *“I work at . Never record internal system names, production figures, incident details or ticket IDs — generalise them."*

My own study material (optional)

Paths to notes or books the interviewer may point you at after a round, in the debrief. It never reads long material during a live round.
